NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
On December 29, 2010, at approximately 11:38 am mountain standard time, American Airlines flight 2253, a Boeing 757-200, registration N668AA, overran runway 19 upon landing at Jackson Hole Airport (KJAC), Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Preliminary reports indicate that the airplane came to rest approximately 350 feet past the runway overrun area. There were no injuries to the 175 passengers and 6 crew on board, and preliminary reports indicate that the airplane was undamaged. The passengers were eventually deplaned using airstairs, and the airplane was towed to the ramp and secured for further examination.
