NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
On January 18, 1999, at 2010 hours Greenwich mean time, a Cessna Citation 550, HB-VIT, experienced a runaway autopilot while on climb out from Paris, France. The aircraft sustained minor damage; however, the captain, second officer, and two passengers were not injured. The aircraft was being operated as a business flight by TAG Aviation under French and Swiss aviation regulations when the accident occurred. The flight originated from the Aeroport du Bourget, Paris, France, on the evening of the incident. Meteorological conditions at the incident location are unknown and an instrument flight plan was filed.
