NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On June 15, 1996, at 0900 central daylight time (cdt), a Piper PA24-250, N6541P, piloted by a private pilot, was destroyed after takeoff on at the Pelican Narrows U-Fly-In Limited, private airport, Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan, Canada. Visual meteorological conditions were reported to have prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot was seriously injured. Two passengers were fatally injured, a third passenger received minor injuries. The accident investigation is being conducted by the Canadian Transportation Safety Board's Central Region Office, 335-550 Century Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada R3H0Y1.
