THE PILOT REPORTED HE INITIATED A FLARE AT APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET ABOVE THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT MADE A RAPID DESCENT ONTO THE RUNWAY AND THE NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSED.
