NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

THE STUDENT PILOT WAS ON HIS SECOND SOLO FLIGHT CONDUCTING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS. DURING THE FLARE, THE AIRPLANE BALLOONED AND THE PILOT ELECTED TO GO-AROUND. HE ADDED POWER AND RETRACTED THE FLAPS. WHEN THE AIRPLANE BEGAN TO DESCEND HE PULLED BACK ON THE YOKE. THE AIRPLANE DEPARTED CONTROLLED FLIGHT AND IMPACTED THE RUNWAY.

THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND'S FAILURE TO MAINTAIN AIRSPEED. FACTORS WERE HIS LACK OF TOTAL EXPERIENCE AND HIS PREMATURE RETRACTION OF THE FLAPS.
