NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On September 22, 2000, at 1330 hours Pacific daylight time, a DeHavilland DHC-2T, Canada registration C-FOES, collided with trees and the ground while maneuvering to seed trout into a lake near Clearwater, BC, Canada. The airplane was operated by Sea-Air Services, Ltd., of Clearwater, under the pertinent provisions of the Canadian civil aviation regulations, and was destroyed in the collision sequence. The commercial pilot and a hatchery worker sustained serious injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and no flight plan was filed for the local area flight, which originated from Clearwater at an undetermined time. The accident is under the jurisdiction of, and being investigated by, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
