NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

ON SHORT FINAL FOR LANDING, AIRCRAFT DEVELOPED EXCESSIVE SINK RATE. PILOT CORRECTED FOR THE SITUATION BY RAISING THE NOSE. AIRCRAFT MADE HARD LANDING AND SHEARED OFF THE NOSE GEAR AND FLIPPED OVER.

IMPROPER CORRECTIVE ACTION ON THE PART OF THE PILOT TO CORRECT AN EXCESSIVE SINK RATE PRIOR TO LANDING TOUCHDOWN.
