DURING A LOW LEVEL FLT OVER A RIVER, THE PLT INITIATED A TURN TO REVERSE DIRECTION AT 300 FT AGL. THE ACFT CONTACTED THE WATER DURING THE DESCENDING TURN AND NOSED OVER.
