THE NON INSTRUMENT RATED PRIVATE PILOT FLEW INTO KNOW ADVERSE WX CONDITIONS. WHILE RECEIVING VECTORS TO THE NEAREST AIRPORT, THE ENG LOST POWER DUR TO FUEL EXHAUSTION AND AN EMERGENCY LANDING WAS MADE IN A FIELD NEAR A PRIVATE RESIDENCE.
