NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH RISING TERRAIN DURING A PLEASURE FLT AROUND HAWAII. THE PLT TURNED FROM THE SHORLINE INLAND TO LOOK AT A WATERFALL. HE STARTED A CLIMB FROM 500 FT TO CLEAR THE 2000 FT LEVEL. THE PLT DOES NOT REMEMBER ANY OF THE ACCIDENT SEQUENCE.
