NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On April 28, 2001, at about 05:15 Atlantic standard time, a Cessna 208B, LV-WSC, operated by Les Grands Jorasses, crashed near Roque Perez while on an Instrument Meteorological Conditions flight plan to Calafate Airport, Santa Cruz, Argentina. Conditions aloft were favorable for the formation of airframe icing. The pilot and nine passengers sustained fatal injuries and the aircraft was destroyed by impact forces with the ground. The flight originated the day of the accident at 04:36 from San Fernando Airport near Buenos Aires, Argentina. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Argentina.
