NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On November 26, 2001, at 1430 central standard time, a Cessna 550 twin-turbojet airplane, Mexican Registration XC-PGP, was substantially damaged during a runway overrun following an aborted takeoff from runway 5L at the Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City, Mexico. The 2 pilots and 4 passengers aboard the airplane were not injured. The airplane was owned and operated by the Government of the Republic of Mexico. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the executive transport flight for which an IFR flight plan was filed. The flight was originating at the time of the accident. The flight's destination was Mazatlan, Mexico. The accident is under the control and jurisdiction of the Government of the Republic of Mexico.
