NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On April 12, 2002, at 0310 coordinated universal time (UTC), a Swearingen Metro 3, Spanish registration EC-GKR, operated by Tadair, impacted runway 24L during final approach to the airport in Palma De Mallorca, Spain, and was destroyed. Both flight crewmembers, the sole occupants, were killed. Night instrument meteorological conditions prevailed. The cargo flight had departed Madrid, Spain, and was destined for Palma De Mallorca. The accident is being investigated by the Spanish Air Accident Investigation Commission in Madrid.
