THE AIRCRAFT'S ENGINE BACKFIRED AND QUIT DURING TAKEOFF. THE PILOT CLEARED A FENCE AND DURING THE FORCED LANDING THE GEAR COLLAPSED. NO ENGINE MALFUNCTION OR FAILURE COULD BE FOUND.
