THIS WAS THE STUDENT PILOT'S FIRST NIGHT FLIGHT. THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT REPORTED THAT ON THE SECOND LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK AN ELEVATED SET OF APPROACH LIGHTS, SHORT OF THE RUNWAY.
