NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On June 30, 2003, at 0821 local time (June 29, at 2321 universal coordinated time - UTC), a MD/Hughes 369D, HL-9140, manufacturer's serial no. 811060D, operated by Heli Korea, impacted on a rice paddy in Chung Cheong north province at 33:21:29N, 126:31:26E. The helicopter was involved in an agricultural spraying operation; reportedly the spray tank hooked on a power line and the helicopter crashed. The helicopter was substantially damaged and the pilot, the sole reported person on board, sustained minor injuries. The aircraft was being operated in daylight under the authority of the Civil Aviation Authority, Republic of Korea.
