NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
On September 28, 2003, about 0900 local time, a Robinson R22 (serial number 0065), Australia registration VH-UXF, collided with terrain while herding cattle at the Yakka Munga Homestead near Derby, Australia. The helicopter was operated by Helimuster, Ltd., under the provisions of the Australian Civil Aviation Regulations for cattle mustering. The helicopter was destroyed in the accident sequence and the two occupants sustained fatal injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and no flight plan was filed for the local flight that originated at the homestead about 0830.
