NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On November 28, 2003, about 1617 Atlantic daylight time, a Cessna 210, Chilean registration CC-PIK, registered to and operated by an individual, impacted with terrain on approach to Tobalaba airfield, Chile. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and no flight plan was filed. The aircraft was substantially damaged. The private pilot-rated pilot and the one passenger received minor injuries. The flight originated from San Fernando, Chile, earlier that day. Preliminary information received by the NTSB indicated the airplane collided with terrain on a street near Tobalaba while on approach to the airfield. The accident is under investigation and no additional information has been released. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Chile.
