NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
An Air Greenland Boeing 757-236, tail number OY-GRL, was at the B3 gate at Copenhagen International Airport, Denmark when during the pre-flight checklist smoke developed in the cockpit. The smoke was coming from a socket to the window heat on the right hand side windshield. Shortly, thereafter a fire arose from the socket. A BCF fire extinguisher was used but did not put out the fire. Fire stopped when the electrical power was swithced off. The Danish AAIB is investigating the incident.
