NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
On August 31, 2004 at 1550 Japan Standard Time, a Japanair Boeing 747-400 encountered turbulence at FL390 over Hanamaki, Japan. One cabin attendant suffered a broken bone, and another suffered minor burns from food service items. There was no damage to the airplane which landed uneventfully at Tokyo International Airport. The Japanese ARAIC/MLIT is investigating.
