NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On September 2, 2005, about 1620 coordinated universal time, a Piper PA-31-400 airplane, Switzerland registration HB-LTM, sustained substantial damage when the right main landing gear retracted after landing at the Meinerzhagen Airport, Meinerzhagen, Nordrheim-Westfalen, Germany. The airplane was being operated by Thomke Management AG, under the provisions of German civil aviation regulations when the accident occurred. The pilot and the two passengers were not injured. The flight originated in Lusanne, Switzerland. Information provided by the Government of Germany, indicated that the right main landing gear retracted during the landing roll. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of, and is being conducted by the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation, Braunschweig, Germany.
