NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
On September 10, 2005, AVIOR flight 1042, a BE-1900D, registration YV-503C, clipped the ground with the left wing tip during landing at Valera, Venezuela. The flightcrew conducted a go-around and proceeded to land without further incident. The incident is being investigated by the Venezuela Ministry of Infrastructure-Comité de Investigación de Accidentes Aéreos (CIAA).
In accordance with the provisions of Annex 13 to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to the investigation.
