NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
On March 10, 2006, at 1633 eastern standard time, a Rockwell Sabreliner twin turbo-jet airplane, Bolivian registration CP-2317, sustained minor damage following a reported loss of control while taxiing for takeoff to runway 14 at the Jorge Wilsterman International Airport (SLCB), near Cochabamba, Republic of Bolivia. The two commercial pilots were not injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed throughout the area for the domestic flight for which an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight plan was filed. The flight was destined for the SLSU airport, also in Bolivia.
Airport authorities reported the PAPI lights for runway 14 were destroyed. The airplane was equipped with a cockpit voice recorder (CVR). The CVR was removed from the aircraft by aeronautical authorities and is pending being read-out at the NTSB Laboratories in Washington, DC.
