On February 13, 2007, at 1336 universal coordinated time (1636 local time), a Bombardier CL-600-2B19, N168CK, was destroyed when it impacted the runway and terrain during a takeoff attempt at Vnukovo International Airport (UUWW), Moscow, Russia. The captain and first officer were seriously injured, and an onboard mechanic incurred minor injuries. Instrument meteorological conditions prevailed. The flight was operating on an instrument flight rules flight plan from Vnukovo Airport to Schoenefeld Airport (EDDB), Berlin, Germany. The maintenance positioning flight was conducted under Russian flight regulations. According to local authorities, the airplane lifted off runway 06 about 1,500 meters from the threshold, and immediately banked sharply to the left. It then banked sharply to the right, hitting the runway with the right wingtip. The airplane continued to roll to the right until it was inverted, and veered off the right side of the runway. It came to rest 1,950 meters from the runway threshold, about 35 meters to the right of the runway's edge. Weather at the time of the accident included snow, a temperature of -6 degrees Celsius, a ceiling of 110 meters, and a visibility of 1,200 meters. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK).
