NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On July 5, 2007, at 1350 coordinated universal time, a Cessna 208B, US registered N208EC, was destroyed when it impacted terrain while on approach to Connemara Airport (EICA), Ireland. Instrument meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot and one passenger were fatally injured, four passengers sustain serious injuries and 3 passengers sustained minor injuries. The flight originated from Inis Meain, Ireland. The Irish Air Accident investigators reported that the airplane crashed on approach to runway 23 at EICA. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Irish government.
