NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
On September 19, 2007 about 1035 UTC, an Aerostar 601, N911M, registered to Aircraft Guaranty Holdings & Trust LLC and operated by an individual, impacted a fence during the landing approach into the Siena Airport, Siena, Italy. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and flight plan information is unknown. The pilot was not injured, and the airplane incurred substantial damaged. The flight originated from the Rotterdam Airport, Netherlands, earlier that day, at unspecified time.
According to information obtained from the Agenzia Nazionale per la Sicurezza del Volo (ANSV) of Italy, the airplane was on short final when the pilot reported an engine problem. The airplane hit the airport's perimeter fence, followed by a ground impact within the airport's property
