NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On August 18, 2008, about 2020 eastern standard time (EST), a twin-engine Cessna Citation jet, United States registration N223LC, presumably collided with coastal waters, after departing from Las Americas, Dominican Republic, en route to East La Grande, Puerto Rico. The pilot, sole occupant is missing and presumed deceased; the airplane is presumed destroyed. The airplane was registered to Corus Hardware Corporation, Catano, Puerto Rico and operated by the pilot. The accident investigation is under the control and jurisdiction of the Government of the Dominican Republic.
