NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On December 31, 2008, at 1700 UTC, an EasyJet Boeing 737-73V, registered in the United Kingdom as G-EZKB, experienced a rapid pitch up upon takeoff from Luton Airport, United Kingdom. The aircraft had been deiced, but was exposed to icing conditions later prior to takeoff. The flight crew recovered the flight profile and no injuries or damage occurred. The investigation is being conducted by the United Kingdom's Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB), and the NTSB has designated a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIB in their investigation.
