NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On October 2, 2009, at 1800 coordinated universal time, a Cessna F172N, German registered D-EDVG, was destroyed when it impacted terrain under unknown circumstances near Sulzberg, Germany. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot was fatally injured. The flight originated from St. Johann, Austria, and was en route to Michelstadt, Germany. The German investigators reported that the airplane was destroyed when it impacted forested terrain under unknown circumstances. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the German government.
