NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
On June 25, 2010, about 0245 coordinated universal time, an Erickson S64E skycrane, N229AC, crashed in mountainous terrain while conducting logging operations in a remote rain forest on Borneo Island, Malaysia. The helicopter was registered to Erickson Air-Crane Inc of Portland, Oregon and was operating under the pertinent civil regulations of Malaysia. The pilot was killed, and the passenger sustained minor injuries.
