NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On May 21, 2010, about 1737 universal coordinated time, a Cessna 182F, Venezuelan registration YV158E, operated by Corona's Pilot Escuela de Aviacion, was destroyed after it impacted an electrical cable during a training flight in Rio Negro, Estado Bolivar, Venezuela. The flight instructor and a trainee were killed. The local instructional flight was operated under Venezuelan flight regulations, and had departed from General Manuel Carlos Piar International Airport (SVPR), Estado Bolivar, Venezuela. This investigation is under jurisdiction of the Government of Venezuela.
