NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On June 17, 2012, about 1608 pacific daylight time, JetBlue Airways flight 194, an Airbus A320-232, N552JB, experienced a dual hydraulic system failure after departure from Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS), Las Vegas, Nevada. After restoring one of the failed hydraulic systems, and holding to burn off fuel, the flight returned to land at LAS and was towed to the gate. There were no injuries to the 149 passengers and 5 crewmembers on board, and the airplane sustained minor damage to the hydraulic system. The flight was operating under the provisions of 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 121 as a regularly scheduled passenger flight to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), New York, New York. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the incident.
