NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On February 24, 2013, about 0900 central standard time, a Piper PA-28-140 airplane, N44418, was substantially damage when it impacted terrain near Cozumel, Mexico. The pilot and three passengers on board sustained minor injuries. The flight originated from the Cozumel International Airport, near Cozumel, Mexico, and was destined for the Cap. Eduardo Toledo Airport, near Cozumel, Mexico. This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Mexico.
