NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident
The Japan Transport Safety Board (JTSB) has notified the NTSB of an incident involving a Boeing 737-800 that experienced an in-flight shutdown of the No. 1 engine (left) which occurred during departure and climb from Tokyo International Airport because the engine instruments indicated a low rotor speed and high exhaust gas temperature. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the JTSB investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacturer of the engines and the airplane.
All investigative information will be released by the JTSB.
