NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On July 22, 2014, about 0915 Pacific daylight time, a Piper PA-46-350, N60PB, had the nose landing gear collapse during the landing roll at Auburn, Washington. The pilot was operating the airplane under the provisions of 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91. The private pilot and three passengers were not injured. The airplane sustained substantial damage during the accident sequence. The cross-country personal flight departed Boeing Field, Seattle, Washington, at an undetermined time en route to Auburn. Visual (VMC) meteorological conditions prevailed, and no flight plan had been filed. The pilot reported that the touchdown was uneventful, but the nose landing gear collapsed several seconds into the landing roll. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the firewall and fuselage.
