NTSB Narrative Summary Released at Completion of Accident

On September 17, 2014, at 1315 coordinated universal time, a Maule M-7-235B, United States registered N1027G, sustained minor damage while landing at Le Touquet – Côte d'Opale Airport (LFAT), Le Touquet, France. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot and one passenger were not injured. The flight originated from Lille Marcq En Baroeul Airport (LFQO), Lille, France, and was en route to London Elstree Airport (EGTR), Elstree, United Kingdom. The French investigators reported that the pilot lost directional control of the airplane while landing. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the French government.
